Embed YOUR OWN TV NETWORK on Facebook!
Before you start: Your Facebook must have 2,000+ likes in order to be eligible by Facebook to embed your channel.
STEPS TO EMBED A STRIMM TV CHANNEL ON YOUR FACEBOOK PAGE
1. Sign Up For the Developer's account.
Go to https://developers.facebook.com/ , Sign Up, and click on “Create App” in the My Apps section on the top right corner.
2. Add Display Name and click “Create App ID”
3. Go to Settings >> Basic
4. Add “App Domains”
a) Enter “iframe.strimm.com” in the “App Domains” field,
b) Make sure that you have App ID on top
c) Add display Name below
d) Add Contact email.
e) Add your own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service URLs (links)
f) You can add your app icon and select the business use of your app/.
5. On the bottom of the opened page, click – “Add Platform” and select “Page Tab” in the popup Select “Page Tab”
6. Copy & Paste Strimm TV Embed Code For Facebook.
a) In a newly opened Page Tab area, enter the embed code for Facebook (the code is located in the channel settings page of Production Studio in your Strimm TV account).
b) Then, add a Page Tab Name.
Click SAVE CHANGES once done.
7. Next, create the following custom URL:
a) facebook.com/dialog/pagetab?app_id=YOUR_APP_ID&redirect_uri=SECURE_PA GE_TAB_URL&forceUnmutedPaused=true
Make sure that there are no spaces in the URL and it matches the pattern.
b) Change YOUR_APP_ID to your developers.facebook.com APP ID (a 15-digit number located in the top left corner on developers.facebook.com console)
c) Change SECURE_PAGE_TAB_URL to your Secure Page Tab URL link (see p. 6 above), which is your Strimm TV embed code for Facebook
Example:
https://www.facebook.com/dialog/pagetab?app_id=xxxxxxxxxxx&redirect_uri=https://iframe.strimm.com/xxxxx/guideMode&keepGuideOpened=true&forceUnmutedPaused=true
Once URL is created, follow this new link and open this page.
8. Select the Facebook page you want to add the channel to and click “Add Page Tab”
9. Make your TV app "Public"
That’s it! Your Strimm TV channel should be added to your Facebook page. You can control it or turn it OFF by going to the Facebook page Settings.
Tip: to avoid errors, we recommend having developers.facebook.com account under the same account as your Facebook page and to have it opened in the same browser.
